Just Hanging Out

Because it's late on Sunday night and we've been out of the house for the past 12 hours, I'm going to cheat and mostly post pictures.  The quick update is that we had two lovely visits with the babies today.  They continue to get cuter every day, and are making progress in medically measured ways as well.  Olivia is back up on full feeds again, although it will take a couple more days to get back to full fortification, and she got her IV line removed this morning.  She put on some water weight yesterday, so she got a dose of diaretic, which seemed to be working its magic between our first and second visits.  We're hopeful that if her lungs sound clearer tomorrow morning, she may start moving down off cpap.  Lucas continues to work on nursing, to the enjoyment of both Mom and baby.  He also got moved down to 1 liter (the lowest setting) on his cannula, and seemed to be tolerating that well.  We still have a way to go with both babies in terms of taking all their food by mouth, but I am assured that one day - hopefully soon - they will just get it, making much quicker progress than we've seen in recent weeks.  I'm hopeful...  Until then, we continue to enjoy the pleasure of each day as it presents itself, which today meant enjoying the opportunity for two visits with two beautiful babies.
