Lucas and Olivia were born on January 29, 2010, at 28 weeks and 4 days. Lucas weighed 2 lbs 4 oz, and his little sister 1 lb 13 oz. They will begin life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Georgetown, the same campus on which their parents met five years ago. Lucas and Olivia made it through their first 24 hours, so they pretty much have the idea of life: They hope to string that concept together, one at a time, and find the strength to breathe, grow, and thrive.
Congratulations, beautiful baby girl! I bet your mom and dad are super-excited to see your face.
