Two is always more fun than one. That is increasingly a favorite motto in the Allen household. Today, Lucas and Olivia kicked it up a notch, practicing nursing with mom at the same time. At 8 am, Olivia was still a little sleepy and so did not nurse much while Lucas showed off. At 10:30 am, mom and babies were still working out exactly how they could all do this together. But at 2 pm, the quick studies had already figured it out and all enjoyed an excellent session. Pretty cool.
We would have taken pictures, but well, you know. . .
Lucas and Olivia are doing great. Lucas had his final eye exam (in the nicu) today and passed with flying colors. The eye doctor gave both babies positive reports for the future; they will return in three weeks for a check up. Lucas is still in line for his hernia surgery on Thursday, after which we might start talking a bit more seriously about an actual departure date. Good times.
My guess is we're also due for some super cute pictures, since we seem to have taken a couple days off. With another beautiful day in the books, we look forward to the gifts tomorrow will bring.
